The most popular updo of the season takes approximately 15 seconds to throw together, so embrace it while you can. Bonus: It’s perfect for those days when you’re running late and your hair is still damp.

Why mess with a good thing?

Low-knot, meet ponytail.

We also saw this hybrid style, coined the “back knot” by stylist Giannandrea, at Creatures of the Wind and Marissa Webb—and all before we even hit day three of New York Fashion Week. And as pretty as it is in all its undone glory, it also takes less than a minute to toss together, much like its low-knot cousin: After securing your hair in a low ponytail, take a section and loop it back up, securing with another elastic. Wrap a tiny final section of hair around the elastic to cover it up for good measure.

Mess it up.
