WHAT NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT BEING A MOM! | Hayley Paige
The One Thing That Every New Mom Needs For Her Baby! (I Needed One This Vacation!)
I was shopping for a gift on a friend's baby registry recently and I started to panic when I didn't see the ONE thing I really, really wanted to give her.
Thankfully I scrolled down and there it was: .
When Emmett was a newborn, these were the only swaddle blankets we used. (He wanted NO part of those auto-swaddle-sacks with Velcro closures!) Their square shape makes them easier to maneuver than rectangle-shaped blankets, which are surprisingly common. They also make great nursing covers. (Actual nursing covers just scream, "Look at me! I'm nursing!" to me.) We would also drape one over the stroller while he slept as a breathable cover that kept the bugs out, or just use a folded-in-half one as a light blanket.
They're soft to begin with and they just get softer and softer as you continue to use them—which we're still doing.
I forgot to pack a couple for our recent trip (so dumb!) and I regretted it at least once a day. They would have been perfect for nap time or to lay out on the grass for the kids while we were playing.
