Mini S’mores Pies

How to Make Mini S'more Bites

Ingredients

  • 7 whole graham crackers
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 2 chocolate candy bars
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of melted butter

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.If you have not recently, make sure that the oven is empty of any possible items that may burn or perish in the heat.
  2. Crush the graham crackers into fine pieces. They should be crumb-sized. This step can be done either by using a food processor or by putting the crackers into a sandwich bag and smashing them with a rolling pin.
  3. Melt the butter in a bowl.To do so, place the bowl in the microwave, making sure the paper packaging is not still on the butter. Microwave for 30 seconds on default settings or until the butter has melted.
  4. Mix together the dry ingredients and the melted butter in a medium-sized bowl.Make sure the ingredients are evenly combined. You can do this either with an electric mixer or by hand with a large spoon. Make sure that the consistency of the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Grease the baking pan. This can be done using non-stick spray or Crisco.
  6. Scoop the graham cracker mixture evenly into the 24 cups.Use a spoon to lightly press down on the mixture to create a cup shape.
  7. Wait until the oven has preheated to 350ºF, and then place the pan into the oven.Be sure to wear oven mitts while doing so to prevent burning yourself.
  8. Bake for four to five minutes. The edges will be golden when ready.
  9. Cut the marshmallows in half and break apart the pieces of the candy bar while the cups are baking.Be sure to cut the marshmallows in short ways instead of long ways. Mini marshmallows can be used as well.
  10. Put on the oven mitts and take the pan out of the oven.Do this once the marshmallows are golden. Once the pan is out, immediately place the piece of chocolates in the cups.
  11. Place the marshmallow on top of each chocolate with the cut side down.Placing it with the cut open side exposed will help the marshmallow stick to the chocolate, so it does not roll off while cooking.
  12. Place the pan back in the oven using oven mitts.Let bake for 2-4 minutes or until the marshmallows are softened.
  13. Turn on the broiler setting to toast the marshmallows. This will only take 1-2 minutes, so be sure to watch them so they don't burn! The broil setting on the oven cooks food using infrared radiation instead of a standard convection oven.
  14. Carefully remove the mini s'mores from the oven using oven mitts.Place the pan onto a surface that is unaffected by the hot temperature such as a trivets or hot pads. The stove top should be just fine as well.
  15. Let the s'mores cool for 20 minutes.
  16. Use a spoon to easily scoop the cups out.Enjoy!
